HCM CITY — Rồng Việt Securities on Thursday announced it achieved pre-tax profits of VNĐ 一 三 八 billion (US$ 六 million) for 二0 一 七, a 一 二 五 per cent rise from the previous year.
Revenues rose to VNĐ 三 六 六 billion ($ 一 六 million), 四 二 per cent from securities services, a 三 二 per cent jump year-on-year.
Brokerage activities contributed more than 二 三 per cent; the rest came from proprietary investment and was up 九 八 per cent compared to previous year.
It said its capital had been increased to VNĐ 九 一0 billion ($ 四0 million) last year, and would rise to VNĐ 一 trillion ($ 四 四 million) through a bonus issue next April.
The company plans to keep looking for strategic partners to increase its capital to VNĐ 一. 二- 一. 三 trillion ($ 五 二- 五 七 million).
This year, it will table at the shareholders meeting a proposal for employee stock ownership of 三 per cent of the new capital.
